Contemporary creativity in the interdisciplinary form of the languages of our time. The programme consists of a series of performances which, through "transverse" associations, join different and diversified subjects active in the fields of theatrical and musical production, figurative arts creations etc., and thus allows the carrying out of a deeper analysis of the peculiar contemporary (as will as historical) role played by Trieste as crossroads and meeting point between Central Europe and the Mediterranean area.
Within the European framework of the project the province of Trieste will concentrate on finding a contact and implementing an exchange with Prague, Cracow, Ljubljana, Zagreb.

Aim of the proposed programme is that of refuting the widespread stereotypical belief which still wants to consider Trieste as a city linked to a merely past splendour. In fact the programme will present the city as a centre inspiring and organizing activities connected with the very current artistic production.
The project aims at joining and mingling cinema, figurative arts and design in a study on the languages of the present-day culture and on the persistence of the languages used in the past.

All initiatives will take place between 18th May and 20th June 1996 and 19th and 25th August 1996
