"Ars Brunensis Chorus"

The mixed-voice choir ARS BRUNENSIS CHORUS was founded in 1979 in Brno. The mixed-voice choir ARS BRUNENSIS CHORUS was founded in 1979 in Brno.
Since its rise the choir has been appearing in the Czech Republic as well as abroad, successfully taking part in many competitions, its performances has been recorded by radios and televisions.
The choir-members are mostly students, some of whom got the chance to study abroad.
Since 2000, the main choir-leader has been Dan Kalousek, a student of Orchestral conducting at the Faculty of Music of the Jan�cek Academy of Music and Performing Arts (JAMU). Under his leadership the choir has performed at many concerts in our country as well as abroad, participated in several CD records with J. Pavlica, the band Jablkoc and others, cooperated on recording scenic music for the National theatre in Brno and the National theatre in Prague. ARS BRUNENSIS CHORUS is a welcome guest of Autunno Musicale a Como, producing many special programs for the various editions of the festival.
